Hello! I’m İzettin Yıldız, an architect with a deep interest in the intersection of architectural design and digital fabrication.
I completed my studies at Mardin Artuklu University, and I am currently doing an internship at the University of Porto, where I am exploring how traditional stone craftsmanship can be integrated with contemporary design methods.
My focus areas include parametric design, digital fabrication techniques, and algorithmic architecture. By utilizing tools like Grasshopper, I work on form generation and structural systems to make design processes more flexible and innovative.

I am currently undertaking a research-focused internship at the University of Porto, exploring stereotomy. My work focuses on developing innovative spatial solutions by integrating digital tools with the craftsmanship of stone. By combining traditional construction techniques with contemporary design approaches, I analyze the formation processes of vault.

I follow different maintenance-repair projects here. I had the opportunity to follow and work on the repair process of a building together with other professional disciplines. This improved my
communication skills with other professional disciplines. Here I constantly improve my knowledge about building materials.
Intern Architect – Architectural Designer
Mimari Proje Üretimi Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi (mimfab) Artuklu University, Mardin, Türkiye / Jule 2022 – September 2022
I had the opportunity to work with the Mimfab team on the Gastronomy Museum project and Kasımiye Madrasa ticket sales point project. I was involved in both the design of these projects
and had the opportunity to follow the restoration work. During this period, I improved myself in this regard by working in programs such as Rhino, Revit, Twinmotion, Photoshop, Illustrator.

I was involved in building construction and landscape design. I followed up the project between the construction site and the office and was involved in the processes. I experienced in practice
